Pool with a view

Set in a stunning location, this historic house evoked a suitably beautiful landscape and planting design.
The brief was to design the garden around the pool and link the various levels seamlessly to the house and an existing decked patio.
The pool is set within partially enclosed borders allowing filtered views to the countryside beyond whilst giving a sense of privacy and enclosure.
The garden includes a croquet lawn with beautiful deep borders of naturalistic planting which softens the transition from the house and garden into the surrounding ‘borrowed view’ and helps define the space.
